Ben McKee was born in Cambridge, and began singing there as a chorister at King’s College. After gaining a music scholarship to The King’s School, Canterbury, Ben continued his musical studies at the University of Manchester, specialising in Vocal Performance. He currently studies singing with Berty Rice in London.

Ben enjoys an active career as a freelance Bass-baritone in London. In addition to regular jobs with Fieri, Siglo de Oro and his church in Kensington, Ben sings frequently with several groups including Reverie, Philharmonia Voices and Ex Cathedra, performing all over the UK. In addition, Ben has recently held choral conducting positions in Manchester, as Assistant Director of the Hallé Youth Choir and Director of the Hallé Youth Training Choir, and will soon take over the small London ensemble New Renaissance Voices as Musical Director.

When not singing, Ben can often be found behind the lens of a camera, riding his beloved road bike, or sitting in a trendy coffee shop in his home in East London.
